What are load tests?

Load testing, as its name suggests, is the testing and simulation of the traffic expected from system. Its main objective is to check that the load expected to be received on a regular basis is well managed without any failure, degradation or interruption of the system.

It differs from its objective in stress testing by having a limit set. While stress testing overloads the system to check how much it can support above the threshold of users that the platform, page or application has already established, load testing simulates the traffic that it is expected to be able to support under normal conditions.
